I was about to send a message about this issue when I read this message... One of the features KDE is missing is removable media automounting and I'm= =20 interested in implementing this. There are, however, some considerations on= =20 how it should be done. Below I list my ideas of possibilities for this=20 implementation: 1) A standalone program, like kdenonbeta/kautorun: probably the easiest way= ,=20 but it would also miss integration with the underlying system (KDE); 2) A KDED module: really simple. it would quietly wait for media to be=20 inserted and make the appropriate dcop calls to have [media]/autorun.sh=20 executed or a Konqueror window open at the mount point; 3) An extension for the mountwatcher KDED module: the same as above, with t= he=20 difference that it would be part of mountwatcher. Any ideas/comments/rants? =2D-=20 Henrique Pinto stampede@coltec.ufmg.br --Boundary-02=_KYXQ/Ur+HhyzWU1 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQA/QXYKx5ej30+ryYARAgxdAJ9u+O0NbTrT18h0RpAL7iU4ugc51QCgzjB0 ViERmoNfS+X2C/RkLhXaKEg= =lLpL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Boundary-02=_KYXQ/Ur+HhyzWU1-- --===============21196146374076941== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe << --===============21196146374076941==--
