I was thinking of starting with 2.2 because I must admit that I'm not that strong with c++, I've coded in C before, that's going back quite a few years, and I want to get back into C/C++. I have a few books around that would help. To simplify matters for me, I was thinking, since there is written documentation on 2.2, it would ease the learning curve for me. Once I'd be comfortable with 2.2, jumping to 3.1 would much easier.

Hi Roberto!

IMHO you should learn KDE-coding with KDE 3.x and Qt 3.x. There has been
a lot progress in the last years and especially Qt 3 is a lot better/easier. I
can tell you because I have to code with Qt 2 for the development of
Opie but I am also coding for KDE 3.1.

So: Stay with KDE 3.1 :)
