First thing: do not assume everyone has The GIMP installed. That's not true. I 
never in my life used a computer with GTK installed. And I refuse to do so, 
for personal reasons.

Second: What are you proposing? A hard dependancy on GTK? KDE has chosen Qt as 
a toolkit. It doesn't make sense to require GTK.
