Troubles with kspell...

On most installations ispell auto-detects TeX files and uses the switch -t 
automagically. However, this behaviour can be, and is, disabled on some 
systems. So I want to be able to manually set this switch using the kspell 
API.

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this. The same problem would arise with 
HTML files.

How should I deal with this problem?
