Certainly true as a general statement.

However, the previous posting states that BSD [Surprise] doesn't have the: 
"linux/cdrom.h" header.  Perhaps such headers would need some hacking to 
work on another system.  And, one wonders why a Linux specific header was 
included without an alternative for other OSes.
