So the default hardcoded restrictions apply.

You don't. It's Konqueror that decides if the redirection you asked for will 
be allowed.

It doesn't because it doesn't know. It's not the slaves who decide if the 
redirection is allowed -- it's the master.

Add a rule allowing redirection from your ioslave to smb and it should work.
