Hi

I am busy with a program that will contain various tools to help decrypt
simple messages. For one utility I would like to show a mixture of
crypto-text and plaintext in the same textwindow. (Think random substitution
cypher). I would like to for example, show all crypto-characters with a dark
background and all plaintext characters (that I have allready changed) with a
light background. Much like HTML's <div style="background-color:
black">...</div>

So finally my question: Which is the simplest widget with which I can set an
individual character's background? KHTML would be able to do this, but it
would be way to much overkill ...

regards
pieter
