Well, this patch is supposed to be compatible with 2.4.x kernels as well.
2.4.x kernels need scsi emulation to write CD's, and this patch shouldn't
change the behaviour of scsi emulated drives.

And anyway, XCDroast does-not-seem-to-work (TM) with my 2.5.62 kernel. As far
as I know one needs scsi emulation enabled for XCDroast. With scsi emulation,
the performance is supposed to be worse in the new kernels (see
http://lwn.net/Articles/13538/ for more info)
