there is a very good search facility in kcontrol. and an underutilized help 
tab. few know of either because they are hidden and inconvenient to use. in 
March i plan on doing going to be doing some hacking to kcontrol to elevate 
the status of both and provide some new navigational aides. 

i don't think reorganizing kcontrol yet again will result in a marked 
improvement but will rather leave users feeling they'll never ever learn 
kcontrol since it is always moving around on them. things like improving 
navigation and revisiting individual control panels will be more worthwhile.
