I am just wanting to know if there are any known issues with KDE running 
on an AMD proc? I am trying to setup kde3 with some rpms that a friend 
made (he is using a p3). On his system it works fine, on mine it does 
not. I get just a blank screen instead of a login screen. We are running 
identical linux installations, hardware is not too different mainly just 
the CPU. I have post on my distros forums and someone suggested that 
 there is an issue with KDE on AMD. So, is there or is this a foobar 
statement?
