Will my AIM friends appear on Jabber? My primary motivation to use IM software
is to talk to my friends, some of which use AIM. For which I prefer to use
the open protocol.

A friend of mine works for AOL/Spinner and the use of AIM is promoted even in
the Linux department. I doubt they'd want to block their own employees. The
problem with OSCAR is not intentional blocks, but unintentional ones when AOL
tries to block the real competition, such as MSN and Trillian.
