Quality standards. The opposite of your discussion style, you know?

The limitations of aktion are inherent to aktion, because it just uses 
xanim. What would the bug report say?

You are very good at misunderstanding people. My argument does not say 
remove aktion because it is not unique.

No it is not. No modern avi/video file can be played with aktion.

Do you mean noatun? Plays only mpeg, no quicktime, no modern avi formats, no 
windows media, no realvideo files.

The gui is not very important for playing videos... mplayer already has arts 
sound support.

The reason for my post was a warning I read in a KDE newsgroup, where a 
newbie was advised not to use aktion.
