Actually, I LIKE the idea. AFA usability is concerned, actually, it DOES help,
since for those of us with poor eyesight, the black (or even the white
cursor) is hard to spot. For some the use of a colourful cursor would help.

With the coding aspect, really it isn't as hard as people are making it out to
be. X already supports this feature, look at Enlightenment. It has a
different coursor than X normally has and even has animations.
