As I said on the bug report, I have no trouble with the Apple Japan 
page.  And, the reason is that I installed Arial Unicode.  Have you 
tried that to see if it fixes your problems?

There are some problems with Mozilla as well.  1.1 won't let me select 
anything but UniCode for Thai -- I installed CyberBit also so I have a 
choice of two fonts.  But I know that there are other fonts that have 
ISO-8859-11 because I have looked at the: "fonts.dir" files and there it 
is at the end of the XLFDs.

You do have a point there.

In any case, we need for this to work (NOW) and to provide a smooth 
transition to the (FUTURE) all UniCode world.
