Hi!
  To correct possible misunderstandings, I've put two images to the web:
  1) http://sinux.sinus.cz/~patrol/italics_image.png shows the problem I'm talking
about. Please look at the letter 'z' in the word 'lazy'. It's evidently a font
rendering problem. You can test Your own rendering at
http://sinux.sinus.cz/~patrol/italics.html .
  2) http://sinux.sinus.cz/~patrol/validator_image.png shows how the page
mentioned in the beginning of this thread looks here. I see no italics problems
on this page, but there is just a very little amount of italics at all.
