i think making the editor easier to use would be a good step as well... i find 
the drawing a bit awkward and the fact that it only uses one line (instead of 
wrapping?) suboptimal, but it's pretty cool that it manages to do as much as 
it does right now...

yes, i often use it in this way... i'll have a large / complex RE and want to 
make sure it says what i meant it to say ;-) and so hit the "edit" button. up 
pops the RE editor with a schematic of the RE... it also has that little "!" 
when something if fubarred and having it show how it changes when it is 
editted in real time is great...
