KDE has only provided source, and is not responsible for the binaries that
seem to have dissatisfied you. Further, it is highly likely that you will
be able to compile KDE's released sources on your OS. Information on
compiling KDE is available at http://developer.kde.org/build/index.html

Questions on whether Red Hat will offer upgrade binaries should be directed
to Red Hat user support. I would assume you can see
http://www.redhat.com/ for more information.

Oh, and in the future: Instead of using this developer mailing list, you
should consider taking advantage of KDE's diverse user support options.
See http://www.kde.org/faq.html for more information.
