I don't think that konsole should handle anything but fixed-width characters. 
If farsi can be rendered that way, I assume that's a minor issue. Otherwise, 
please bear in mind that konsole is a character-cell-based terminal emulator 
on steroids. I don't think it should ever evolve in say emacs's direction 
(i.e. kerning, proportional fonts, etc.)
