It does now, because the GNOME folks sent me patches to support gettext.
(Sending patches is always a better approach than throwing it away and
writing your own clone of it.)

That sounds like a fine idea for how to end up with a KDE-themed screen
saver configurator.

Are you still using your own re-implementation of the xscreensaver
daemon as well?  Or has that finally gone away?
