But why not add this to all screensavers in a generic way : When someone moves the mouse or key is pressed, a dialogue pops up asking for passwd. To this, add an option "Post a note". So if someone wants to write a note, (s)he will simply click on this and add a note. Now to protect the privacy of the user (to whom the note was written), you could set things up such that when the user comes and unlocks his/her machine, (s)he'll see the posted note first (and thus get his/her attention). Now, if the screensaver is not passwd-protected, then the above dosn't matter since the person who wants to write a note, can simply add a note to knotes!
