Apparently there are some deeper problems with > KScreenSaver/QGLWidget. > Hrm there is something more sinister going on here. I just noticed that the GL screensavers are NOT built at all by default. It seems that they are ignored because of a broken OpenGL test. Even with OpenGL support the screensavers never build or install. This could be why I never got any bug reports on certain braindamages in KGravity ;) Other than that they work perfectly. Fullscreen or in windows. > I notice that the savers in the xsavers directory don't use the > libkscreensaver interface (kss_create/kss_setup) but rather > startScreenSaver/stopScreenSaver/setupScreenSaver functions. Ideally we should get more native ones ;) My advice is to check out if you have proper openGL support in your Qt. Granted even if you did it seems our test is broken enough that it should not matter either way. Ill look into the GL problem with the screensavers not loading but in the mean time my advice is to look at kfountain's source, that is the most mature of hte OpenGL screensavers. It was also made by takeing existing C code and wrapping it in the KScreensaver framework. Granted it was then tweaked ;) Cheers - -ian reinhart geiser -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9HPdlPy62TRm8dvgRAhxTAKCYNHyOS1SHalDgEt1Qkk3ETiJ8TgCg6Fxm 7NsXtVNre4SDWSgWygU3+Fo= =ekNL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
