Actually, a work with LyX to make it compatible with the Qt (V2) library and 
GTK. It is not finished yet, but it is a step to a LyX with a KDE interface. 
It seems that the big problem with this GUI independance, is that they are 
not enough developpers that are working on the Qt/KDE part to have it finish.
