Downloaded and installed the gcc/libstdc++ packages for version 3.1
(under Mandrake). You can have 2 versions of libstdc++ installed
without any problem, the new compiler just uses the new version.
I recompiled the whole Qt/KDE from HEAD without any problem. Everything
runs OK. The only noticeable difference is that gcc-3.1 is slower at
link time, but OTOH much faster to compile kio/global.cpp with -O2.
