Yes i did, i have used the exact same build script for more than a 
month. 

And now i just realized that i can't compile it at my home machine 
either. This is a linux from scratch system.

I got the following lines in /etc/ld.so.conf:

# Begin /etc/ld.so.conf
/lib
/usr/lib
/usr/local/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib/qt3/lib
/usr/local/kde-cvs/lib
/usr/local/gnome/lib
# End /etc/ld.so.conf

libqt-mt.so (which links to libqt-mt.so.3.0.4) is in /usr/lib/qt3/lib 
allright.

I tried checking kde-common out again and made sure the admin dir in 
kdelibs was symlinked correctly, same result. I have no idea what could 
go wrong.
