Hi,
    We developed a keyboard layout for indian languages using the xkb
mechanism. however we are having a problem in using it with the indian
locales(also developed by us). We have written new files for the symbols,
compat, etc and had to modify the files symbols.dir, compat.dir files
according for the new keyboard.
    Then we made changes in XF86config-4 that the keyboard to be used is
"in". Now when the locale is en_US the keyboard works as expected. When we
start an application with a different locale, specifically, the indian
locale developed by us, the keyboard does not work.
    Could someone tell what the problem could be?
