IMHO (2c worth of it!) Kmail is _already_ pretty darn near being the perfect
email client.

It's already streets ahead of _anything_ else I've used.

What's great? POP support, IMAP support, filters, address book integration,
_highly_configurable, account profiles, expiry of messages, killer HTML
rendering, uses standard email file formats, nice easy way to view mail
headers...

If you really wanted to add _more_ to it, how about some kind of a plugin API,
like the one in Kate or Korganiser. Or just expose more of the internal
functionality via DCOP.

But please, what's already there is FABULOUS! About the best email client
going! Let's not bloat it and make it fat and ugly and clumsy!
