From kde-devel Tue Apr 23 18:03:36 2002 From: Sarang Lakare Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2002 18:03:36 +0000 To: kde-devel Subject: compiling for KDE 2 & 3 under kdevelop (kde3) X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-devel&m=101958520209829 Hi, I started my project on kdevelop long time back (KDE 2.0.x). Since then I never updated the files in the admin directory. Today, I started a new project in kdevelop (KDevelop 2.1 on KDE 3.0) and then copied the admin directory to my old project. Now I have the following problems: 1. How do I compile my program under KDE2 (I have both KDE2 and KDE3 installed)? The problem is that configure now expects qt >= 3.0.2, where as I want it to use qt 2.3 which came with KDE 2. I tried --with-qt-dir but it does not help. There seems to be something hardcoded in the new admin directory which forces configure to find qt3 only. 2. The admin directory contains links. The contents of the admin directory are in my CVS. Now the problem is that cvs does not understand links! Yes, I can copy the files and remove the links, but isn't this the wrong approach? Everyone who has projects on CVS repositories using kdevelop, will probably face this problem. thanks Sarang -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sarang Lakare mailto:sarang@users#sourceforge.net web:http://www.cs.sunysb.edu/~lsarang/linux !!Join the fight for freedom - Go GNU/Linux!! >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
