Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone thinks some sort of "dcop script" would be useful
for KDE benchmarking and/or some form of regression testing?

As I'm recompiling KDE using a variety of methods (gcc 3.0.4, binutils 2.11.92
makes a big performance difference - thanks for everyone's input!) I'm really
lacking a true real world benchmark for KDE. I don't understand DCOP
extremely well, but is it not possible to:

Write a DCOP script to put a number of applications through their paces.
Opening, saving files, minimizing, maximizing, etc?

Then we could run this benchmark several times with various compiler settings
to gather elapsed times for proper "scientific" comparison?

Sean.
