To be clear: it has nothing to do with windows, just the multiple 
documents/views of Kate's MDI.

Yes, I think I've seen this as well, but it's a separate bug.

For me it happens sometimes that the topmost window is not the active one, 
which it always should be (I have all types of clicks set to raise and 
activate).
