What version of Linux are you using? =3D there has been a bug in Athlon c=
ode in=20
certain circumstances that causes this sort of lockup.  A temporary fix i=
s to=20
add "no pentium" as a boot parameter but AFAIK the latest versions of 2.4=
=20
(19-pre?) has this problem fixed
