Hi, when I start KDE either as root or a normal user the KDE Panel (kicker) 
causes a crash and on the initial first time load, Ksplash crashes as well. I 
built all the packages from source, with qt-copy-snapshot-20020319.tar.bz. I 
did not include XML support for the KDE help system. My distribution is 
Slackware 8.0 running kernel 2.4.17. I was previously running KDE 2.2.1 
without any errors. Konqueror, Kmail (which I'm using now) all run fine, the 
control panel works too. I have an AMD K6-2 380MHz with 96MB RAM. I have 
searched the mailing list for anything relevant and could not come up with 
anything. I am willing to do anything I can to help. KDE is a great system!
