Hi,

The patch I promised is attached, I produced the joining table
automatically from Unicode tables, also considered the 
exceptions, and added the code to remove ZWJ and ZWNJ.

Test it with the attached html, it fixes the problem with ARABIC
LETTER FARSI YEH U+06CC and some other chars, and if your font
has glyphs for ZWJ and ZWNJ (like gnuunifont), you will find what
I mean.

Note: the patch is for qt-libs/src/kernel/qcomplextext.cpp, the 
other copy of this file should be patched too.
