hello all, i just wanted to let you know that i built kde3's kdelibs from 0601 successfully with gcc-3.0.3 from suse for their 7.1 distribution (minor errors at kiobase - seems work in progress). when i was compiling kdebase from the same day i encountered a strange error in kicker after its sub-dirs were built: ld: /lib/libc.so.6 not found btw: it took a very long time to compile to this stage (about 3 1/2 hours for qt-copy/libs/base ) it used to be max. 2 hours for qt/libs/base/ in prev. versions. when the error occured it was a libtool-call that took about 4 minutes (on an athlon 800 w/ 512mb !:) and then i've seen a lot of "-lgcc"'s (which i have also seen during the compile process - is it necessary to have more than 3 screens full of that ?) bye, daniel >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
