It says "in tgz/rpm for x86 file format", so a plain tgz is allowed as well.
I think they want binaries because they really don't want to read
compilation and installation instructions for each and every entry..
The KDE Qt Java bindings might not be eligable though:
"[Entries] must not have been posted on another Web site prior to
submission"
Apparently you cannot submit works that are already in progress. I'm not
sure how strict that rule is, I suppose porting an existing application to
make it work on the Zaurus is sufficiently new, even if the application
itself is already available.
I'd simply mail contest-info@trolltech.com and ask. I suspect the strictness
of the rules comes down to the quantity of submissions, though.
