| Most of all it is really ugly. I was really proud of the (default)
| beautyfull KDE when I installed it at my university, but once I had
| compiled kdenetworks. I really hated the kmail icon as an eyesore,
| allthough it had never bothered my on my home machine. (it had always just
| been there)
ok, it seems I am the only man here who likes KMail icon ;-)
|
| I dont like the help icon either, but more becouse it smells of
| beta-software "in case of emegency".
|
| So I wish for chrismas... and KDE3 ;-) :
| Something more question-like for help, and something prettier for kmail.
|
| (I've looked at the iKons, and while nice there's still not a good
| solution for these two.)
|
ok, let's be constructive.
_How_ do you want KMail's icon to be looking?
*There is very clear icon for PostBox in Solaris/SunOS (Postbox, in
"american" style; may be this just pure X icon but I associate it with
Solaris...) but, for example, we (in Russia) have Postboxes looking very much
different.
* May be we can take a look at real postboxes in different countries and
design icon(s) resembling those? Any pictures how such P.B. looks like in
Germany, France, UK? (probably they are different)
I think stamp (which postoffice puts on envelope) itself is also quite
descriptive (but I think we should keep it for "send mail" button).
* Postman? (postwoman?) but we need to understand than how we can reduce him
to 32x32 size ;-))
* Dog with letter/envelope in teeth? (ah I know my wife will choose this one
:-)
