You should probably ask mosfet about this.

KDat is alive again in CVS, let the maintainer go through the old bugs
(or test the new version).

kikbd doesn't exist anymore, indeed. But it should, i.e. there is a (big)
need for it, and hopefully someone will re-create that functionality 
(and probably integrate it into kxkb). So the bugs are not very interesting
per se, but the wishlist items might interest the future, still vapour, maintainer :-}
