well.. a pfaedit version for KDE (KFontCreator) isn't the original idea 
suggested but sound cool. This tool could be very usefull to create and 
export fonts file to type1/ttf/opentype.

freetype already exist...
kfontinstaller is in cvs and do a lot of beautiful things (afm, etc...) and 
could be usefull.

Is there a good-C++-developer that need to do a thesis project? :))
