I did some early testing with this in Beta 2 of Win2K, never after that with their dialogs. These were my own dialog apps, not controlling some other dialog or application. I did some testing with this using IE 5.5, and did it without much problem. I made some face "windows" that were dragable and were translucent. Note that I did NOT make all of IE translucent, just some IFrame's. I believe that MS added the translucent stuff just for the fading menu's trick. Never seen it used except for fading in/out. Never a middle translucent stage being used.
