It works on my system as I've got a sym link from /usr/include/X11 to /
usr/X11R6/include/X11. Anyway, I modified kdebase/kcontrol/kfontinst/
configure.in.in an replaced:

AC_CHECK_HEADERS(X11/Xft/Xft.h,FOUND_XFT="YES",FOUND_XFT="NO")

with

KDE_CHECK_HEADER(X11/Xft/Xft.h,FOUND_XFT="YES",FOUND_XFT="NO")

...which (after removing the above mentioned sym link), found Xft.h in /
usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft

I would've commited this change - but I can't seem to access CVS at the 
moment, so I'll do this tomorrow.
