Hi KDE Gurus,

i just noticed a pretty strange thing

First my config:
Suse7.2
P4, 1.5GHz
1GB Mem

1) Copying about 30MB from Zip to HD decreases free memory for about 80MB 
(why?). After finished copy, the mem is not released, KDE did eat it

2) Opening Konq (1st instance) decreases mem for about 5MB. Closing does not 
release mem. Opening again decreases for about 2MB, closing this time 
releases mem

Conclusion: When working for a whole working day under KDE, mem goes down 
steadily, which is not very good, to use not so bad words

I checked it with KDE control-center open, showing the Memory Information

Anybody knows whats going here?

Suggestion: For KDE3, please do not concentrate on 1000 new features, 
concentrate on the basics like memory managemenr and the often discussed app 
-startup
