No.

Qt3 is  required.

No major changes but getting rid of some obsolete classes and the like. So 
source code compatilitity cannot expected.

So far, it comiles with my stock SuSE 7.2.

Main goals are to clean up, get rid of hacks required before (either bei Qt 
2.x or for BC reasons), get the beast over to Qt3, get rid of some Qt3 code 
in KOffice, get access to the new features of Qt3, new features in KDE.

Actually, KDE 3 will be KDE 2.2.1 ported to Qt3 plus new features.
