Hello!
Experimental kapture build has landed in workstation-experimental at
tycho. If you'd like to test kapture but don't feel like building it
from source, now it's your chance. The sources.list line is as follows:
deb http://kde-debian.org/archive/ workstation-experimental main
$ apt-cache show kapture
THIS IS HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL SOFTWARE!
.
If you want to help testing this software, i provide these packages for your
convenience. They are built from current cvs version and are in state of
flux. They may or may not work, may trash your installation, kill your cat or
dog or parrot or whatever and also eat your lunch. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
.
Current features:
- shows the package tree
- quick filters on name/shortdesc/package tags
- can update and upgrade your system (the progress meter is broken at the
moment)
- can install new packages
.
All these features are work in progress -- don't expect anything near "user
comfort". There are *many* rough edges and hidden razors all over the place.
But i'd be happy to hear your suggestions (read the TODO first though, as it
contains many ideas already).
It seems to crash with calc's kde 3.2 packages right now, i'm
investigating why.
Yours,
Peter
