Do you know about rsync snapshots?

I use them to keep snapshots from last 24 hours, 7 days, 4, weeks and 24 month
with only merely more space than my original /home.

The method is described here
http://www.mikerubel.org/computers/rsync_snapshots

I used the package made by Rob Bos but http://www.rsnapshot.org might be even
better.

It is a comand line tool with a config file. That is why I came to like
config4gnu. To configure or tweak the package graphically one would just
need to write a meta-config file for it.

cheers,
Christian
