I've installed Cygwin with basic requirements as listed in the webpage; then installed the dummy from KDE3-base and then I ran the KDE3.1a setup; closed all instances of explorer.exe and then logged off and back in and started KDE Full... X Server starts and the KDE initial window opens and stucks in the first step (process communication); meanwhile in console this message keeps scrolling constantly until the batch file closes and X Server remains with a blue background, nothing on it. The message is; DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Authentication Rejected, reason: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. What can I do in order to get my KDE 3.1a running on Cygwin? Is this a fatal error? Thank you very much in advance. -- ========================================================== Br. (Cs.) José M.
