hm... it's about a big download. is there any way to have the file (my company has a \
policy to limit total download 15MB for each employee per day) ? for example if I \
send a message with subject "kde-x.1.2.tar.bz2" to a system then it will response \
sending me the required file. if the file is too big then it automatically separated \
into files that able to joined again later.
back to the problem, if I uninstall kde-x.1.2, which file(s) I have to reconfigure to \
make my system back to normal?
tx,
Dafis

Hi,
you should use the kde3 release instead of the kde2 release.

Ralf,
I've got that message from ksplash, kdeinit, knotify and ksmserver but the \
message has gone after I install the kde-xlib. Even too slow but I was happy to see \
the splash screen. Hoping that I could improve the performance so I download \
kde-x-1.2.tar.bz2 and install it from cygwin setup. Now I've got new error message \
from xinit that it could not found libX11.dll in my path so I cannot get into KDE. \
I'm sure that /usr/X11R6/bin and /opt/kde2/bin is in my path. Is the latest library \
remove this file?
tx for the very fast response
Dafis

I've been trying hard to find cygpcreposix.dll in my cygwin package (see \
http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-cygwin&m=101423969806521&w=2) and some ftp sites. Things \
that I found in my pcre package were: $ tar -xvf pcre-3.4-2.tar
usr/bin/pcre-config
usr/bin/pcregrep.exe
usr/include/pcre.h
usr/include/pcreposix.h
usr/lib/libpcre.a
usr/lib/libpcreposix.a
usr/man/man1/pcregrep.1
usr/man/man3/pcre.3
usr/man/man3/pcreposix.3
Is it any way to build the dll from those files or what?
TIA,
Dafis Andria
