Red-black trees are not perfectly balanced, so a depth of 14 or 15 looks
remotely possible (though not very ideal of course).

And do those comparisons actually take any measurable time?  I guess
something about 0.05 sec?  (I'm not saying we shouldn't try to reduce
that, but still ;) )
