In fact, the topic has been touched on gnome-hackers a short while ago, so
yes, I think this might be an area for cooperation, especially if GNOME
adopts DCOP as protocol (or we can find another common base). But that would
be an issue of somebody who wants to work on KNotify for KDE3 starting to
actively enter the dialog on the appropriate GNOME lists, to get this kind
of technology standarized for both, GNOME2 and KDE3.
