Anyone an idea on this one? Cheers, Waldo ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: Bug#29718: keyboard deadkeys disabled unless LC_ALL set Date: 25 Jul 2001 09:41:09 -0000 From: rcasha@waldonet.net.mt To: submit@bugs.kde.org Package: kde Version: KDE 2.2.0 Beta1 Severity: normal Installed from: SuSE RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified My keyboard layout was working except for the deadkeys - these were disabled (working as ordinary keys). The situation only occurs with kde 2.2b1. In KDE 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 the layout worked correctly, and even now if I start XWindows with just xterm it works. I found out - quite by accident - that if I set LC_ALL=mt_MT before starting KDE it works in KDE2.2b1 as well. I have now set this in my .bashrc so I'm working OK but most users won't know how to do that. I don't know which is the exact module within kde that handles the keyboard though. If I submitted this to the wrong one could you please pass it to whoever handles the keyboard support?
