I think that's is a great idea. I agree that the main product shouldn't depend on an incomplete QT, but also that we should start the port ASAP to avoid delay later. The 'pure port of 2.2' phase can probably be done easily at the same time as 2.3, and then when gcc/Qt 3 is stable it could be merged with 2.3 fairly quickly. If we do this, though, we should identify the areas that need overhauls for 3.0 and be sure they aren't touched in 2.3 to make the merge easier. Joe
