Hi,
After the changes made to support real FTP proxy server, a new problem
appeared with auto-proxy when dealing with HTTP. My JS script is configured
to returns:
- "DIRECT": in some special cases
- "PROXY ftp://ftpproxy:8028": for ftp requests
- "PROXY webproxy:8123; PROXY webproxy_backup:8123": any other case
The problem lies in kpac_impl.cc: there's first a validity check of the URL,
and "http://" is prepended if the check fails. In the last case from the 3
above, this could work if "webproxy:8123" was invalid. But it is not! KURL
returns a valid state, and the protocol becomes "webproxy". Obviously, the
request fails in Konqueror because the scheduler looks for an ioslave
handling "webproxy" protocol.
Of course, I could add "http://" directly in my JS script, but I think that
this problem should be solved, because the 3rd syntax is probably a valid
auto-proxy syntax.
Bye.
Michael.
